We celebrated Valentine's Eve with a wonderful dinner with the Lodden family. This has turned into quite a tradition which started way back when Jen & Jeff were first married, before we moved to Chicago, and before either of our families had kids.
This year B prepared steaks Morton's-style and we served corn on the cob, au gratin potatoes, and sauteed mushrooms and onions. It was certainly a feast! For dessert we enjoyed strawberry lemonade cake, which was a huge hit. Even B liked it and he's not much of a cake fan.
Annabelle and Gwyneth had a great time playing with their cousins. The girls even took a bath together which they loved and made for an easier morning tomorrow for me and Jen! Interestingly, my girls scream when I wash their hair and apparently so does Reagan when Jen washes hers at home. None of them made a peep when I washed their hair tonight. Hmmm....perhaps we're on to something? Maybe they only get hair washes when they're together? Since we only see them every month or so we could have some really stinky girls! That may be the price we pay for peaceful bathtimes!
