father's day

We were sad to leave the mountains, but very happy to celebrate Father's Day with the best dad around. We grabbed a quick treat from Starbucks and then made our way down the hill. B said he wanted to hang out in Boulder and gladly took his girls to the new crocs store. O-H....M-Y...G-O-S-H....  my little Gwyneth is a crocs fanatic. She loves them, won't wear anything else (that's why she was barefoot in her Father's day pictures).  She was like a kid in a candy shop, couldn't believe her little eyes, died and gone to crocs heaven.

The girls each fell in love with a new pair of shoes. Gwyneth wanted new pink ones and got herself a Dora and Boots jibbitz (yep, that's a word. that's crocs lingo, in case you didn't know). Annabelle found sandals that amazingly don't look too much like crocs but in her words are "tooooo cute". She got herself a Nemo and her cousin, Reagan a Dora jbbitz.

Now, I know most dads out there would make Father's day all about them. Their day to relax, their day off, their day to do whatever THEY want to do. That's the great thing about B - what he wanted to do today was the same as every day. He wanted to spend the day with his family and make his girls happy. I did take on full diaper duty for the day so he didn't go unrewarded, but the girls and I sure did get lucky with this guy.

Happy Father's Day!
Those crocs are bigger than the girls!

After naps and a little unpacking we headed to the Lodden's to celebrate with the Meyer Family. Jen and Jeff invited a few friends over also so it was quite a full house. Gus was able to join us and Gwyneth got to spend some time with her Godfather too. It was a super busy day, but a nice ending to a super busy weekend.
