The girls were pretty wound up after our busy morning and were not interested in taking naps. The only way to get them to sleep was to take a drive. We hopped in the car and headed to Silverthorne. I picked up some strawberry outfits for the girls at the outlets and B stayed in the car to let them snooze. It was a quick trip but they got a few minutes of much needed sleep. They woke up on our way back so we decided to hike around Lake Dillon.

The girls came across a family of ducks and were in awe of the baby ducklings. These girls are suckers for babies. We just sat and watched while the ducks ate their dinner and headed back to the water. Gwyneth got adventurous and stuck her hands and feet in the water which was really cold. We suggested picking up dinner and eating outside by the lake. Annabelle said "Ummmm...how about we eat dinner inside?". Ok, perhaps she's not quite an outdoorsy girl either.

We had dinner at Downstairs at Eric's and then hit the Breckenridge Kingdom Days. It was ok, but it was my least favorite of the festivals this weekend. There was some live music, but it was mostly just a lot of 20-somethings standing around getting drunk. We let the girls play on the playground for a while, but when a little boy asked me to help him up on the jungle gym while his dad sat on the bench not paying attention, drinking beer, and playing on his phone and then the boy proceeded to throw sand in my face rather than say thank you I decided it was time for us to head back to the condo! Sometimes its best to just call it a day!! It was a crazy, busy, fun day indeed.
