books

I must have lost my mind! I have volunteered to take over the book fair at Annabelle's school. The woman who puts it together now has done it the past five years and her son is moving on to middle school. I do love me some books and I really love helping the kids find books they are eager to read. The set up and tear down is probably not going to be quite as fun. The best part is that both the girls can work with me so they will also receive volunteer time recognition (coyote cash), we can spend lots of time together, and they can learn to give back to their school and teachers.

Missi was such a big help to me today and offered to hang out with Gwyneth while I set this up. (Gwyneth only goes to school Monday - Thursday). This was a big project and something tells me that little four year old hands would have made it go just a touch slower...

This book fair is no joke. It's one of the biggest that Scholastic sponsors and it's a huge source of revenue for the school. I'm very proud (and terrified) to be running it next year. Wish me luck!

Gwyneth had a wonderful morning of Wizard of Oz and lots of treats with Misti. Thank you again, Misti for your help!
