SO MUCH SNOW!
We have had a light winter this year, so we welcomed the snow today and the opportunity to stay in the house, bundled up, and warm. Unfortunately the Oscars viewing party I was going to attend was cancelled, but I got to watch some of it with the girls and they cracked me up. They are quite opinionated on the dresses and accessories that the women wore.
I thought the Oscars were classy, family-friendly, entertainment. Not so much. The musical "I Saw Your Boobs" that introduced the show and detailed all the starlets who had gone topless in movies ended that ill-conceived notion rather quickly. Gwyneth asked me several awkward questions about why girls would show their boobs in movies (I saved my low self esteem, seeking the wrong kind of attention conversation and just said "oh, he's being silly". She's 4 for Heaven's sake!). Luckily that song didn't get stuck in their's head....although I suppose I should wait to make sure it doesn't get belted out at daycare/kindergarten tomorrow. I think next year we'll stick to watching the fashion on the red carpet.
A good day to stay in.
Miss Gwyneth loves Doc McStuffins, but Annabelle loves doing puzzles. I asked Gwyneth which pieces she help put together and she said "none, I'm not such a big fan of puzzles".
Determining if this puzzle is life size
Making us some comfort food on this cold day - chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms and broccoli.
Snowy weather = lots and lots of crafts
