We gave ourselves just enough time to get the car unloaded from our weekend in Breckenridge and then headed down to Highlands Ranch to celebrate the 4th with the Carlsons. They treated us to a delicious steak dinner and the kids played hard together. Annabelle & Gwyneth get a bit freaked out by the Carlson's dogs - that's probably a huge understatement as they scream when we walk in the door and see the dogs. By the end of the night Annabelle was saying "hi Puppy" so she's getting much better. I don't forsee a dog in our near future though.

The girls were home and in bed before the fireworks even got started. I was worried that all the explosions would wake them, but they slept right through it all. I think we wore them out this weekend.
