Little Monkeys

We kept the girls up past their bedtime last night with our excursion to Morton's but they woke up in fine moods. Who doesn't love a little snugglin' time with Dadda before heading off to school? When I picked GG up from school they said she seemed tired today and was a bit dramatic. She was sweet and all smiles but if they wouldn't carry her she would just lay down on the floor and sigh. Her teacher said it best about her acting "Gwyneth Paltrow has nothing on our Gwyneth Meyer". Hilarious! Bath time - *sigh* - what more can I say about that? If it's not one Meyer maniac its the other! Annabelle has decided she likes baths again so piece of cake (although B might disagree since she feels the need to dump water on him EVERY time). Gwyneth can now walk and has decided she no longer has a need for sitting. She doesn't want to sit in the bath, in her highchair, or in her car seat. Can't she just stand everywhere? Although I do understand the logic - we've been coaxing her to walk for the past few weeks and now we're telling her to sit - that's just not gonna fly! Some day both girls will just sit in the tub and play quietly without splashing...right? right? A momma can dream, can't she?
My squeaky clean little monkeys
Trying to get a 'cheese' out of Annabelle but she wasn't interested
GG was happy to play along! "CHEEEEEEEESE" (she says it so cute!)
Jennifer and I met for lunch today and ventured over to Barnes and Noble for some books for the kids. Jack & Annabelle got a few holiday books and GG got this Dora book with an etcha sketch. She loves it!
After the girls went to bed, I met my Thursday Night Gal Pals for a cosmo and some big laughs. This week I was joined by Consuelo and Mellanie and what a night of story telling, laughs, and all around relaxing fun! I count my blessings every day for my family and friends. One of these days I'm going to get a picture of my gals-night-out crew, one of these days....
