YaYa is here!!!!!!

The girls were so excited to see her. I could do nothing for them....and I mean nothing. Breakfast - "YaYa do it". Getting dressed - "YaYa do it". Getting in the car - "YaYa do it". Holding hands in the parking lot - "YaYa do it"....you see where I'm going here? They wanted nothing to do with me and were all about their YaYa. Luckily their YaYa is amazing and always seems to have enough hands (and energy!) to take care of everyone and everything.

Naturally our first stop was the American Girl Store at Park Meadows! YaYa wanted to treat Annabelle to a birthday surprise which included outfits for her baby, a matching outfit for her, and a trip to the hair salon for her doll. Annabelle was in baby doll heaven.

Gwyneth received her share of treats as well!

Before I move on, I have to talk a little trash about the Denver store.  I've only been to the American Girl store in Chicago before this week, but I have to admit it's been like the Mecca of doll stores in our family. I walked in to the Denver store with very high expectations....where was the 2nd floor? where was the cafe? where was the theatre? ....And you call this an American Girl Store???? Sorry to my fellow Coloradans -- this store just doesn't even compare. I'm glad we visit Chicago often enough for my girls to get the true experience, because in our family this just doesn't cut it.

YaYa was a little worried because she thought she was spoiling Annabelle and not Gwyneth. As you can see Annabelle was in heaven and honestly, Gwyneth could not have cared less. She was a maniac in the store - destructo! She wanted to build things and tear things down and was not very interested in baby dolls. I have a feeling Gwyneth's interests lie somewhere else right now....far, far away! (but they are awfully darn, cute huh?)
