Miss Gwyneth had a cough and runny nose that just wouldn't go away. Monday morning rolled around and I decided enough was enough -- it was time to get my girl in to see the doctor. I was horrified when her doctor told me she has pneumonia! I couldn't believe it. As the doctor was testing her oxygen levels, prescribing a breathing treatment and antibiotics Gwyneth was laughing and climbing all over me! I had tears in my eyes and felt like I had really failed my girl -- how could I not know? Gwyneth got a good laugh out of the doctor by asking me "Are you ok mommy? I sick???". I spent the rest of the day at home trying to get Gwyneth to relax, rest, and get better and of course, loving, snuggling and pampering her. It's not easy to keep a two year old off her feet!
I kept Gwyneth home again on Tuesday and could clearly see that she needed some fresh air. She was getting a little antsy being home and there was no chance that I was going to get her to lay on the couch and relax all day. The doctor told me she was not contagious so we decided to venture downtown and explore the Art Museum. I received a membership for my birthday and as promised from the brochure it was quite kid-friendly. My goal was to keep Gwyneth off her feet and in the stroller. For the most part it worked -- she happily rode around the museum and let me know that she was quite into modern art. She was so sweet and I had such a wonderful day with her. She is on the mend and I'm hoping she will sit still and get better very soon!!

A wonderful day with my girl! I could only contain her in the stroller for so long -- time to get her home....
