train

After Gwyneth had a very good nap we picked up Annabelle from Montessori School. She is loving her new class and told us all about the shapes she learned today. It is shape week and each week she has to bring in something that represents the shape of the day. Today was rectangle day so she took in a piece of play birthday cake. She is doing great in her new class and learning so much.

Since B works at home it's not really a good idea for us all to be there in the afternoons. The girls adore their daddy and want to be near him (and by near I mean, they both want to be on his lap, or climbing on him, or being held by him, or jumping on him....so, a bit more than near)  I knew I had to get the girls out of the house so he could work so we headed to the Orchards. My goals - give B the house to get his work done, keep Annabelle entertained and stimulated, and keep Gwyneth entertained, stimulated, but limit her physical activity. Hmmm...now that's some goal. I settled on the train at the Orchards which the girls both seemed to enjoy although it was hot, hot, hot. Afterwards we hit Little Monkey Bizness which was a big treat for Annabelle, but I drove Gwyneth crazy telling her to slow down. She is on the mend and will be running with the best of them soon enough (she would be now if I'd let her!).

I love this picture - they both look so sweet and quite a bit nosey....
