This was my first experience at the Renaissance festival.....wow, what an interesting day! The Rewalts, Gus, and Missi joined us and we had a great time. We spent the entire day there! The girls rode rides, they met fairies, and we ate lots of festival food....$1 pickles, so cold, from a barrel....now, that's L.I.V.I.N.! The girls and I shared three. Yes, three. Don't judge.
The people watching...my goodness! There are some.... ahem, interesting characters there. I guess I understand the people who dress up in Renaissance garb. Although it was about 97 degrees and those costumes look awfully hot. That's a true commitment to the cause. I didn't quite get the dude that dressed up as Darth Vader or any of the Star Trek peeps. I guess they got lost on their way to Comic Con and hey, why waste a good costume?! I can't wait to go back next year - - what a freak show!!
