children's museum

I worked in the morning and then spent the afternoon with Jocelyn at the Children's Museum. I saw a much different side of the museum with a 9 year old. I typically see the 3 and 4 year old side which doesn't involve saws or screwdrivers! We had a really nice time exploring together and made it through in about an hour and a half. We built a helicopter out of recycled materials, made giant bubbles out of dish soap, and Jocelyn painted a gorgeous landscape for me. We skipped quite a few of the rooms - the firetruck, the grocery shop, and the vet because those were just too babyish for her.

Um, not quite sure I'm getting the aunt of the year award for letting her play with a saw, but she sure did like it.
