trick or treat

This may have been my favorite Halloween of all time! We had such a wonderful time with the girls and a few dear friends came by to visit and see the girls in their costumes. The girls loved trick or treating, once they got the hang of it -- "Wait, I knock on the door and ask for candy????". Gwyneth was running door to door! They were so sweet with the neighbors and received so many compliments on their costumes. I'm such a lucky momma to be able to celebrate this haunted holiday with them.

Gwyneth has discovered candy! She found our stash by the door and started stocking up.

Consuelo and her brother, Corey, came over to see the girls dressed-up.

Consuelo left covered in chocolate, stickers, and plenty of hugs and kisses.

The girls were ready to roll!

Sarah joined us for our dinner tradition of turkey chili and trick or treating. We all enjoyed having her along and I'm pretty sure she enjoyed that Annabelle gave up her only bag of runts to her.

We got back to the house and the girls were able to sample one piece of their loot. Annabelle chose Whoppers and Gwyneth originally chose a Snickers but we redirected her to a Twix. They were in heaven!!

Gus made it over just in time to see the girls in their costumes! He helped us frighten away the last of the trick or treaters and get the girls in pj's and off to bed. It was the perfect Halloween and I had so much fun with my family and friends.
